How We Met

I met Greg in the summer of 2016. I had just graduated college and began working my first real adult job on the Bell Helicopter Cybersecurity team. I immediately noticed the cute guy with the long beard in the cube near mine. We worked together for many years, shared inside jokes and became genuinely close friends. There were times when I wondered what it would be like to be more than friends, but didn’t know if Greg felt the same way. One evening in 2019 after enjoying a movie, Greg told me how he really felt, and so began the relationship we had both been privately wanting. Within a few short months of dating we moved in together, right as the country was going into lockdown. Luckily the extra time together only made us fall deeper in love with each other.

The Proposal

We had planned a New-Years trip to Amsterdam, but restaurants there started closing early due to Covid, and eventually our flight was cancelled. We had decided to do a “last dinner out” in Grapevine before our vacation, and that seemed like the perfect setting. With ring in hand, permission from her parents, and a photographer waiting for our arrival, I took Alex for a walk down Main Street. You can see what happened below!
